Matangi Island Resort was voted in ISLANDS Magazine

With its inexhaustible expanse of tropical Fijian rainforest and world renowned white sand beaches, it's comes as no surprise Matangi Island Resort was voted in ISLANDS Magazine as one of the 'Top 10 Private Islands in the World' and was also listed in the publication, '1,000 Places to See Before You Die', by celebrated travel writer, Patricia Schultz. The island's spectacular coastal and ridge-top hiking trails deliver stunning views of the tropical rainforest that populates the island. All hiking trails are natural, so guests are asked to exercise caution whilst hiking along the narrow parts of the island's ridge-top. While visiting, be sure to stop by the Tavoro waterfalls in Bouma Park. The first, and largest, of these 3 falls is within easy access from the main road and is well worth the walk. Another highlight is the Civa Pearl Farm at Vurevure Bay. Matangi Island Resort is accessed via the Taveuni Island Matei Airport, which is located 13 kilometres west of Matangi Island. Upon arrival at the island, all guests are transferred to the Navakacoa boat landing, before being transported by boat across to Matangi Island. To book contact; phone 1800 990 998
